Joined the MSU squad after competing for Itawamba Community College... Finished his career with a 6-8 singles record and a 26-25 doubles record in the Maroon and White.
SENIOR (2012-13)
Was a key senior leader for the Bulldogs throughout the 2013 season, especially on the doubles court... Finished his senior year with an 11-11 record in dual match doubles play.
FALL - Finished fall play with three wins in singles competition and a 5-4 doubles record with teammate Zach White... After dropping his opening match at the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships, ousted consecutive opponents to reach the quarterfinals in singles consolation play... Defeated Kentucky's Michael Binder 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 in his final singles match at the Bulldog Scramble in Athens, Ga... Reached the Round of 16 in doubles play at the USTA/ITA Southern Regionals with teammate Zach White... Teamed with White, defeated three-straight opponents after dropping first match at the Bulldog Scramble.
SPRING - Finished 1-0 in singles play, earning his first victory of the spring against Arkansas' Christian Lee 6-3, 6-4... Finished 6-9 in doubles play while paired with teammate Zach White... Defeated No. 29 Texas Tech's duo of Hugo Dojas and Felip Soares 8-5 to clinch the doubles point for the Bulldogs... Earned an 8-5 victory against LSU's Roger Anderson and Tam Trinh to clinch the doubles point for State en route to a 7-0 victory against the No. 25 Tigers... Defeated the Samford duo of Austin Akers and Elliot Barnwell 8-5 to open the final weekend of nonconference play... Defeated Middle Tennessee's duo of Yannick Born and Marlon Brand 8-6 to close out nonconference play for the 2013 campaign... The duo's 8-3 victory against Auburn's Dennis Lengsfeld and Lucas Lopasso set up MSU to clinch the doubles point against their SEC foes on court one... Battled against Tennessee's 34th-ranked duo of John Collins and Edward Jones, but play was suspended with the UT duo barely leading 6-5... Defeated the Kentucky duo of Alejandro Gomez and Ryuji Hirooka 8-5 to clinch the doubles point for the Bulldogs for the 8th time this season... Teamed up with freshman Pedro Dumont late in the season and put together a 5-2 record... The duo defeated LSU's Boris Arias and Tam Trinh 8-6 to help MSU take the doubles point... Downed the Texas A&M duo of Jeremy Efferding and Jordan Szabo 8-5 in the regular-season finale... Defeated Kentucky's Ryuji Hirooka and Beck Pennington 8-5 in the second round of the 2013 SEC Championship for their third-straight victory... Defeated Harvard's Nicky Hu and Andy Nguyen 8-3 for the duos fourth-straight victory... Earned their fifth-straight victory with an 9-8(4) victory against Tennessee's Jarryd Chaplin and Brandon Fickey.
JUNIOR (2011-12)
Did not join the Bulldog squad until January.
SPRING - Notched his first victory for the Maroon and White against Carter Lam of Hawaii, winning in straight sets... Paired with James Chaudry, defeated Yohei Shoji and Michael Lin of Princeton to clinch the doubles point, propelling MSU to a 4-0 victory... Paired with teammate Zach White, posted a 7-5 doubles record, including a win over Alexandr Lidzar and Max Tkachenko of Alcorn State to help MSU advance to the Second Round of the NCAA Championships.
PRE-MSU:
Attended Itawamba Community College from 2010-2011... Named an All-American in 2011... Junior College State Champion in 2010 and 2011... Also while at Itawamba CC, won the singles and doubles state title in 2010 and 2011...
PERSONAL:
Born Ethan Wilkinson in Brisbane, Australia... Played cricket in high school along with tennis and was named the Cricketer of the Year in 2008... Came to MSU because of "the program that coach Nilsson runs and how he always brings the best out of his players."
