Dawgs To Compete In The Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Mississippi State track and field will continue the outdoor season at the Crimson Tide Invitational, hosted by Alabama.
The Bulldogs will send a small group to compete in Tuscaloosa. State will see competition from 18 different schools at the one-day event.
State will have 21 athletes competing in 18 events over the course of the day. The meet is set to be field event heavy, with State entering athletes in the shot put, discus, hammer throw and pole vault.
Kevin Grubbs will look to improve on his top-15 mark in the NCAA men's discus. Roury McCloyen is set to compete in both the shot put and discus this weekend, making his season opener after his All-American finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this season.
On the track, State will see action in the hurdles, sprints, and short-distance races. Tamiia Fuller, program record holder in the 60m, will make her outdoor individual debut after competing on the relays this season.
