SEC Indoor Championships Up Next For Bulldogs

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mississippi State track and field is set to compete in the SEC Indoor Championships, hosted by Texas A&M, this weekend.
Competition will begin on Thursday afternoon and end on Saturday evening.
This weekend marks the first competition of the season with all 16 SEC track and field teams present. As a powerhouse conference in the sport, the SEC boasts 12 teams on the men's side and nine teams on the women's side, all in the top 25 nationally according to USTFCCCA.
State is sending 42 athletes to compete in 27 events this weekend. Of those competing, 23 Bulldogs will be making their SEC Indoor debuts.
Many of the Bulldogs competing have SEC final experience, with Nicholas Fakorede finishing fourth in the 60m at the 2025 Championships. At the 2024 conference meet, Roury McCloyen and Tafada Wright made the final in the shot put and weight throw, respectively.
Marie Rougetet and Ramat Jimoh enter the meet as All-SEC athletes from their performances at the 2025 outdoor championships. Both will look to repeat their strong performances in the ring and on the track.
The meet will be available to stream on SEC Network and SEC Network+.
