Split Meet Weekend On Deck For Bulldogs
February 12, 2026 | Track & Field
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State track and field will conclude the regular season split between the Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt, and the Tiger Paw Invite, hosted by Clemson.
The distance and throw groups will compete in Nashville, Tennessee, with competition beginning on Friday morning. Competition will feature the men's and women's weight throw, and the women's mile and 5000m.
Tafada Wright will be the sole Bulldog competing in the women's weight invite section. Naomi Jepleting, the outdoor 5000m program record holder, will race in her first 5000m of the indoor season.
Clemson will see a full day of action from the Bulldogs both on the track and on the runway. Across 11 events, 21 athletes will compete for State, with multiple chances to advance out of the preliminary races.
Riley Brush and Alla Parnov are the only Bulldogs to compete in an invite section on Friday, both jumping in the pole vault invite. Nicholas Fakorede, who finished second in the 60m final in Clemson just two weekends ago, will race over the distance again.
Both meets are available to stream the Music City Challenge on SEC Network+ and the Tiger Paw Invite on ACCNX.
