
Duke, Endicott Notch Top-Ten Finishes

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State golfers Trip Duke and Garrett Endicott earned top-ten finishes this past week.
Duke placed tied for fourth at the Yellowhammer Invitational in Opelika, Alabama. He put together a three-day total of 7-under 209 at the Robert Trent Jones Grand National Lake Course.
He bookended his tournament with rounds of 3-under 69 with a 1-under 71 second round.
The event featured 95 players from eight different countries with the top 47 players making the cut after round two.
Garrett Endicott finished seventh at the historic Sunnehanna Amateur in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He compiled a four-day score of 11-under 269 at Sunnehanna Country Club.
After carding an opening round of even-par 70, Endicott caught fire in the final three rounds. He fired a 4-under 66 in round two with scores of 5-under 65 and 2-under 68 to round out the tournament.
The event began with 101 players from eight different countries with the top 63 making the cut after three rounds.
The Sunnehanna Amateur began in 1954 with past winners including eventual major champions Ben Crenshaw, Collin Morikawa, Webb Simpson, Tommy Aaron and Lucas Glover.
