Women’s Tennis Adds Kempenaers-Pocz To 2025 Signing Class

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's tennis head coach Chris Hooshyar has announced the signing of Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Kempenaers-Pocz is joining the Bulldogs after spending the last two seasons at the University of Texas.
Kempenaers-Pocz becomes the third signee of the 2025 recruiting class, joining Thessy Ntondele Zinga and Mia Robinson.
After joining the Longhorns in January of 2024 and earning a redshirt, she earned a 7-5 record in singles and an 11-5 record in doubles. Against SEC competition, she posted a 5-4 record with four wins coming from the No. 4 position. In SEC doubles play, she was 6-4.
A native of Glengowrie, Australia, Kempenaers-Pocz was one of the top junior players in the world; she earned a career-high ranking of No. 35. In the WTA rankings, she was ranked No.760 in singles and No. 447 in doubles.
In 2022, she competed in the Australian Open, reaching the round of 32 in doubles while also receiving a qualifying wildcard in singles. She also played in the doubles rounds of 64 at Roland Garros in 2022 and the Australian Open in 2021. At the 2022 Australian Open Juniors, she was a singles and doubles semifinalist while also reaching the round of 64 in singles at the Roland Garros Juniors and US Open Juniors, along with the doubles round of 16 at the US Open Juniors and the round of 32 at Roland Garros Juniors.
In 2019, she advanced to the semifinals of the W15 Port Pirie in Australia. She has Registered wins over two players with career-high WTA rankings better than 165, Ellen Perez and Himeno Sakatsume, at the 2022 W60 Canberra in Australia. She also won five ITF juniors titles with three in singles and two in doubles, including taking both at the J3 Gold Coast in Australia in 2021.
