Stevens Selected To Olerud Award Watch List

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State outfielder/pitcher Nolan Stevens was selected to the watch list for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award.
Stevens was one of 35 players from around the nation to earn a spot on the watch list for an award that is presented to the top dual-role player in the country. Olerud was a standout pitcher and first baseman from Washington State that went on to have a standout 17-year MLB career.
Stevens has started 25 of 31 games in right field and ranks second on the team with a .326 batting average among the Diamond Dawg regulars. The sophomore from Elk Grove, California has collected 28 hits, five doubles, four homers, 17 RBIs and two steals on the year. He has also made two relief appearances on the mound with a 1-0 record with a pair of strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of work.
The winner of the 2025 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award will be announced on June 17.
