Jordan Selected For All-Star Futures Game

PHILADELPHIA – Dakota Jordan will be the next in a successful line of Mississippi State stars to represent the Diamond Dawgs in MLB's All-Star Futures Game.
Jordan, a fourth-round draft pick by San Francisco in 2024, will play for the National League in Sunday's All-Star Futures Game at 11 a.m. on NBC. The outfielder from Canton is currently hitting .290 with 22 doubles, a triple, 18 homers, 66 RBIs and 15 steals for the Giants' High-A affiliate, the Eugene Emeralds.
The 6-foot, 231-pounder currently leads the Northwest League in home runs and is the reigning Player of the Week after posting a 1.462 OPS with four homers, 11 RBIs and eight runs scored in 26 plate appearances. He is coming off a career game against Spokane on Friday night where he went 4-for-5 with a double, three homers and four RBIs.
Jordan played at MSU from 2023-24 where he appeared in 107 games, batted .336 with 132 hits – 55 of which went for extra bases including 30 homers – 112 RBIs and a .435 on-base percentage. He earned All-American and All-SEC honors during his time in Starkville and won the 2024 Ferriss Trophy.
Jordan becomes the seventh Bulldog to be selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game joining Paul Maholm (2005), Hunter Renfroe (2014, 2016), Dakota Hudson (2018), Nathaniel Lowe (2018), Ethan Small (2021) and Jurrangelo Cijntje (2025). Maholm, Renfroe, Hudson, Lowe and Small all reached the Major Leagues.

The MLB Draft will be held this weekend beginning with the first four rounds on Saturday beginning at noon with the first 10 picks on NBC and Peacock before switching to MLB Network, MLB.com and MLB TV for the next 30 selections. Selections 41-135 will be streamed on MLB.com and MLB TV.
Rounds 5-20 are scheduled for Sunday starting at 10:30 a.m. on MLB.com and MLB TV.
