Bulldogs Fall In Regular Season Finale

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's tennis dropped their final match of the regular season this weekend to the Arkansas Razorbacks 4-1 on Sunday in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after the pair of Alessia Tagliente and Carolina Troiano and the tandem of Jayna Clemens and Chiara Di Genova each picked up wins on court two and three during doubles play.
However, the Razorbacks fought back claiming wins on courts one, six and two to grab a 3-1 advantage. Di Genova won her second set over Anet Koskel but was unable to claim the third set as Koskel clinched the match for Arkansas. Clemens won her first set and was ahead in her third set 5-4 before the match was clinched. Tagliente won her opening set courtesy of a tiebreaker win and was leading in her second set 5-4 but was unable to finish.
