State Drops First-Ever Meeting To No. 4 Sooners

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's tennis dropped the first of their two road matches this weekend to the 4th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners 4-0 on Friday in Norman, Oklahoma. Today's matchup was the first time the two programs have ever faced-off.

The Bulldogs forced a tiebreaker set on courts two and three during doubles play but were unable to overcome the Sooners who took an early 1-0 lead. Oklahoma would go on to win three-straight singles matches to clinch the match.
