
No. 18 Bulldogs Conclude Regular Season At Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate

STARKVILLE – As March winds down to a close, so does No. 18 Mississippi State's women's golf season. The Bulldogs are set to compete in their final tournament of the season at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate in Fort Worth, Texas. The two-day tournament is set to begin on Monday, March 24.
The tournament originates from Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas. The Bulldogs will face a 6,092-yard, par-72 course. The tournament sees a loaded field, as 11 of the 15 teams are ranked within the top 25 in the latest Scoreboard rankings.
Avery Weed will lead off the lineup for the Bulldogs. Weed sports a 72.00 scoring average for the season and has won two individual titles earlier this season.
Izzy Pellot will shoot second for State. Pellot has finished under-par in two of the Bulldogs' three stroke play rounds in the spring, tying her career low-54 of 9-under both times during that span.
Samantha Whateley will sit in the middle of the lineup for the Maroon and White. In nine stroke play rounds in the spring, Whateley has recorded a round in the 60s four times.
Chiara Horder is fourth in the Bulldog lineup. She has recorded nine par or better rounds this season, including her first round in the 60s since 2023.
Ana Pina Ortega rounds out the Mississippi State lineup this week. Pina Ortega is shooting for a 72.6 average in 15 rounds this season, the best single-season average of her career.
