No. 55 Bulldogs Drop Tight Contest at Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 55 Mississippi State dropped a tight road contest to the Missouri Tigers, 4-3. Â
Gianna Oboniye paired up with Athina Pitta to defeat Missouri's Inah Canete and Korina Roso 6-2 to begin the day for MSU, but the Tigers quickly responded winning two-straight doubles matches to grab an early 1-0 lead.
Missouri then extended their lead to 3-0. However, Oboniye and Alessia Tagliente each won their singles matches to tighten the lead to 3-2. The tigers would then go on to clinch the match courtesy of a 6-4, 6-3 win from Andrea Artimedi. Jayna Clemens would end today's action with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.
