STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State Bulldogs (8-1) look to extend their winning streak to five consecutive games when they welcome the Charlotte 49ers (4-5) to Humphrey Coliseum on Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.

NOTES:

The Bulldogs helped the SEC to a 13-3 record in the ACC/SEC Challenge, as they dominated Pitt, 79-44.
State held the Panthers to 14 points in the first half, which tied the fewest amount of points an MSU opponent had scored in the first half this season.
The Bulldogs held Pitt to just 22 percent shooting from the floor in their contest.
Destiney McPhaul collected a career-high 22 points on 61.5 percent shooting. It was her second 20+ point performance of her career.
The Bulldogs are 8-1 in non-conference play this season.
Inside Humphrey Coliseum, the Bulldogs are 27-1 under head coach Sam Purcell.
Overall, State is 45-6 in non-conference play under Purcell.
The Bulldogs are outrebounding opponents this season by 11.2 rebounds per game, a mark that is top 25 nationally.
State has outrebounded their opponents in all nine games this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – CHARLOTTE

Charlotte will be playing their first game in over a week as they last played on November 29 against George Washington in the Cayman Island Classic, where they lost 81-67.
The 49ers enter the contest on a two-game losing streak.
Princess Anderson leads Charlotte with 14.9 points per game, followed by Zoe Best, who averages 10.2.

SERIES HISTORY:

Sunday's contest will be the first matchup between Charlotte and Mississippi State in program history.
