Preview: Oklahoma and Arkansas

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State volleyball will play the last away games of the season against SEC opponents Oklahoma and Arkansas.

State will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the Sooners on Wednesday. This match marks the first time that the Bulldogs will travel to Norman in program history.

The Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to play the Razorbacks on Friday as the final away match of the season. Both matches will be available to stream on SEC Network+.

Mississippi State is 15-6 over the season and 5-6 in conference play.

Oklahoma is 13-8 over the season, and 5-6 in conference play.
Megan Wilson leads the Sooners in kills at 368 over the season. Alexis Shelton and Taylor Preston follow closely behind, both earning over 200 kills this season.
Payton Chamberlain leads the team in assists with 795 this season, averaging 9.81 per set.
Kallie Kemohah leads in digs at 474 over 104 sets played this season.
Morgan Perkins leads in blocks at 111 this season, averaging 1.16 per set.

Scouting the opponent: Arkansas

Arkansas is 5-17 over the season and 1-10 in conference play.
Parker Duncan leads the team in kills at 282, followed closely by Lakin Laurendine and Romani Thurman, both of whom earned over 200 kills this season.
Kiki Remensperger leads in assists at 769 this season, averaging 9.05 per set.
Remensperger also leads in digs at 217 over 85 sets played.
Journey Peppers leads in blocks at 81 this season, averaging 0.95 per set.

Series History

The series against Oklahoma sits at 2-3 in favor of the Sooners. The last matchup resulted in a four-set victory for Oklahoma in 2024.
Wednesday's matchup marks the first time State has played volleyball in Norman.
The series against Arkansas stands at 9-47 in favor of the Razorbacks. The last matchup resulted in a three-set victory for the Bulldogs in 2024.
