State Falls Short Against No. 9 Texas A&M

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State fell to No. 9 Texas A&M in straight sets this afternoon.Â
State rallied hard to lead early in the third set but ultimately fell short against the Aggies. The Bulldogs move to 13-3 over the season and 3-3 in conference play.
State totaled 29 kills, with Lindsey Mangelson leading the squad with 11.
Erin Kline collected a season-high of 27 assists over three sets played in her first official start of the season.
Mangelson led the team in points scored, totaling 12.0. This is her 13th time scoring over 10 points in a match this season, and her ninth consecutive time doing so.
McKenna Yates and Mangelson led the squad in digs, each tallying seven. Mele Corral-Blagojevich and Kline followed closely behind, earch earning five digs.Â
Avery Power and Bre Perrin both picked up service aces in the match, the first of Perrin's career.
The Bulldogs will return to action next weekend, as they take on South Carolina and Georgia on the road.
