Hooshyar rounded out his 2024-25 roster with England's Emma Cohen. The London native won the 2023 J30 Isa Town singles championship on the juniors circuit and boasts a career-high UTR score of 10.14.
"We are so excited to have Emma," said assistant coach Taylor Russo. "Her dedication, work ethic and resilience are qualities that we look for in our players. She is a natural athlete, and her game style is going to be unique for our fans to watch. We can't wait to watch her grow, continue to write her story and be part of the Bulldog family!"
In addition to Cohen's outstanding achievements on the tennis courts, she was also an accomplish gymnast and competed until the age of 16. At 12, Cohen won a gymnastics national championship and also earned a bronze gymnast award from London Gymnastics in 2015.
Cohen is the fourth new addition to the Bulldogs' roster for the upcoming season joining fellow freshmen Gianna Oboniye and Carolina Troiano as well as Florida State transfer Chiara Di Genova. All four are expected to enroll later this month and begin preparing for their first practice on Aug. 23.
