Bulldogs Win Seven Events, Clock National-Ranked Marks On The Final Day of The Alumni Bulldog Relays

STARKVILLE – Freshman Jordan Ware won three events, including an improvement in his nation-leading time in the 200m, as the Bulldogs won seven events on the final day of the Bulldog Alumni Relays.

Jordan highlighted the successful weekend for the Bulldogs, claiming first in the 100m and 200m dashes and running a leg on the winning 4x100m relay.

Coming into the meet with the nation's best time in the 200, Jordan clocking a wind-aided 20.18w improved the time further by seven-hundredths of a second. Earlier in the day, he ran a time of 10.22 in the 100m days, just six-hundredths of a second shy of his NCAA fifth-ranked performance.

Senior Rosealee Cooper took home gold in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.10. that ranks eighth in the nation. Cooper also ran a leg in the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay, both placed second. The 4x100m relay featuring Cooper, sophomore Rickyla Fagan and freshmen Jaitlyn Ware and Kyndall Sessom, finished in a time of 44.77 and ranks second on State's all-time top-five list.

Mississippi State cross country's top finisher Ramat Jimoh earned first place in the 1500m in her 2024 outdoor season debut. Behind her was her cross country teammate Hunter Anderson who came in second.

Javelin throwers Ella Knott and Frank Di Sanza claimed the javelin title. Knott, a junior and transfer from Oregon State, threw a distance of 50.31m (165-1.0), just four inches shy of a personal record. Di Sanza finished with a distance of 69.94m (229- 5.0). Knott ranks 16th in the nation and Di Sanza ranks 11th in the nation, both with their performances at the Hurricane Invitational.

Roury McCloyen won the shot put for the second consecutive meet with a distance of 18.29m (60-0.25). He ranks 11th in the nation with a distance of 18.62m (61-1.25m) acquired at the Hurricane Invitational and is the highest-ranked freshman. McCloyen ended the indoor season as the only freshman with a shot performance that ranked in the top 30.

The Bulldogs will return to the track on Friday, March 29th for the Battle On The Bayou hosted by LSU in Baton Rouge, La.
