Bulldogs Drop Series Finale Against No. 7 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped the series finale to the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies by a score of 6-1. Mississippi State now fall to 3-3 in SEC play and 17-8 overall.
Jurrangelo Cijntje drew the start for the Diamond Dawgs and went 5 2/3 innings, He gave up seven hits and five earned runs while he struck out four. The duo of Karson Ligon and Brooks Auger closed the game for the Bulldogs. They pitched two innings of work and had two strikeouts combined, while giving up no hits or runs.
The trio of Hunter Hines, Logan Kohler and Connor Hujsak all contributed at the plate for the Maroon and White. Hines went 1-for-4 with a double, Kohler went 1-for-3 with an RBI and Hujsak went 1-for-3 and scored a run. Those three recorded all of the hits for the Bulldogs today.
Mississippi State is back in action when they head to Birmingham, Alabama, to take on Samford on Tuesday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, and first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
