
Bulldogs Tie with Georgetown in Match Three of Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – After a slow start in the third match of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, the Mississippi State women's golf squad overcame a 3-0 disadvantage to force a 2-2-1 tie against the Georgetown Hoyas.

Julia Lopez Ramirez picked up her second match point of the tournament. Lopez Ramirez was able to regain the lead on the 12th hole of the matchup and carried it to a 1UP victory.

Chiara Horder gained her first match point in the tournament on Sunday. Horder won the final three holes en route to a 3&1 victory.

After a back-and-forth contest, Avery Weed ultimately finished in a tie with the Hoyas' Morgan Smith.
The Bulldogs are back on the course on February 13 when they begin the Nexus Collegiate Invitational. Â
