
Bulldogs head to The Bahamas for Nexus Collegiate

STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State women's golf squad heads to Nassau, Bahamas for their second tournament of the year, the Nexus Collegiate Invitational. The tournament is scheduled for a shotgun start, with the day beginning at 8:45 a.m. CT.
At the top of the lineup for the Bulldogs is Julia Lopez Ramirez. In the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, Lopez Ramirez earned two individual match points against her opponents from Arizona and Georgetown.
The two spot will be held by Chiara Horder. In her last match, Horder gained a match point against Georgetown.
Avery Weed will be shooting from the third spot in the Bahamas. Weed picked up a match point and a tie in Palos Verdes last week.
Making her spring debut in the fourth spot will be Izzy Pellot. The sophomore from Orlando earned her best finish of the fall in her last event, The Ally.
Samantha Whateley will round out the lineup for the Dawgs. She will be starting off the day for State on hole 10.
Surapa Janthamunee will be competing individually in Nassau. SJ currently has the second-best scoring average this season in stroke play with a 71.3.
