MUFREESBORO, Tenn., - The first road trip of the 2024 men's tennis campaign for Mississippi State did not go as the 22^nd-ranked Bulldogs planned.

Middle Tennessee downed MSU 4-3 inside the Adams Tennis Complex and snapped the Bulldogs' six-match winning streak against the Blue Raiders.

MSU (4-3) fell behind 3-0 early before Dusan Milanovic was able to put the visitors on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Shu Matsuoka. MTSU, however, was able to take the next point as Jakub Kroslak outlasted Benito Sanchez Martinez in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to clinch the match and improve the Blue Raiders to 5-2 on the year.

The remaining matches were played out allowing the Bulldogs to keep the final score close. Nemanja Malesevic downed 47^th-ranked Marcel Kamrowski 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 and Radomir Tomic rallied to top Demis Taramonlis 4-6, 7-6(4), 1-0[6] to close out the evening.

Mississippi State returns to the road next week when it travels to Memphis to take on the Tigers on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
