Diamond Dawgs Set for Eight National Broadcasts

STARKVILLE – The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have announced the television coverage for the 2024 baseball season, with Mississippi State slated for at least eight appearances on the ESPN family of networks.

The SEC schedule opens on March 15 when the Diamond Dawgs host the LSU Tigers. The second game of the series against the Tigers will be the Dawgs first time in front of a national audience as they will play at 4 p.m. on the SEC Network.

The following week, the Diamond Dawgs head to College Station, Texas to face the Aggies of Texas A&M. The series opener against Texas A&M on Thursday, March 21 will be aired on ESPNU with first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m.

The next national broadcast will originate from Dudy Noble Field at Polk-Dement Stadium when the Diamond Dawgs host Georgia in SEC action. The second game of the series on April 6 will be aired on the SEC Network with first pitch slated for 7 p.m.

When the Maroon and White head to Oxford, Miss. two of the three games of the series will be aired on National TV. The series opener on Friday, April 12 will be seen on SEC Network with first pitch set for 7 p.m. The following night, Saturday, April 13, the contest will be on ESPN2 with a first pitch of 7:30 p.m.

The Diamond Dawgs will host Auburn the following weekend and the second game of the series will be aired on SEC Network. The Saturday contest, April 20, has a first pitch slated for 5 p.m.

The Dawgs and Rebels will have a third game of the season aired when they face off in Pearl, Miss. on May 1 for the Governor's Cup. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. with the game being aired on ESPNU.

MSU will close out its national broadcast schedule when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark. The series finale against Arkansas is slated for a 2 p.m. start on SEC Network.

The final weekend of the regular season will feature a select number of wildcard matchups, with Mississippi State hosting Missouri May 16-18 (Thursday-Saturday) for its final three games of the regular season.

Along with the eight national broadcasts, Mississippi State will air each of its non-linear games on SEC Network+, which is available online and through the ESPN App and ESPN.com/watch. The broadcast schedule is subject to change.

The 2024 season gets underway on Feb. 16 when the Diamond Dawgs host Air Force in a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field.

Mississippi State's 56-game schedule features 35 home games, 17 road contests, and four neutral-site matchups. The schedule features a 12-game homestand to open the campaign (Feb. 16 – March 2) and a five-game homestand from April 2-9.
