FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Peyton Bair led the Mississippi State track and field team to a number of new personal bests on the first day of the Razorback Invitational. Bair earned two new personal records, while 14 other Bulldogs earned their own.

Bair, the Mississippi State men's indoor heptathlon record holder, stands in first place at the end of day one of the men's heptathlon. Bair earned first-place finishes in the high jump and the 60m dash. He set new personal bests in the high jump with a height of 2.02m (6' 7.5") and the 60m with a time of 6.77. His 60m time now ranks 4^th on State's top indoor performances list.

Sophomore Tafada Wright impressed in the weight throw, throwing a new personal record distance of 18.28m (59' 8.75"). Wright's throw was good for 4^th on the all-time top performances list at State.

The women's distance team made a strong transition from the cross country courses to the track, with three new personal records in the mile. Leading the way was Hunter Anderson with a time of 4:43.56. She was followed by Hayley Ogle (4:54.77), Ramat Jimoh (personal record time of 4:58.10), and Madelyn Keating (personal record time of 5:01.67).

The Razorback Invitational will continue Saturday, Jan. 27, beginning with the final three events of the men's heptathlon: 60m hurdles, pole vault and 800m at 10 a.m. Running events will begin at 10:15 a.m. with the 60m dash followed by throwing events at 12:15 p.m. and Field events at 2:30 p.m.
