KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped the third game of the series to the #24 Tennessee Volunteers, falling 13-2.

Colton Ledbetter picked up his eleventh home run on the year in the contest, sending a solo shot to right in the sixth. Dakota Jordan reached on a walk and picked up his first career triple, which drove in a run. Lane Forsythe also picked up a hit for the Dawgs.

Aaron Nixon held the Vols scoreless in his appearance, picking up two strikeouts in an inning of work.

The Diamond Dawgs return to action on Friday, May 5 when they host Arkansas in SEC play. First pitch for the game is set for 6 p.m. and will be aired on SECN+.
