
Bulldogs Wrap Up Day One at Bob Pollock Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – Mississippi State track and field posted five first-place finishes and seven personal-best marks to close out day one of the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational on Friday (Jan. 27) at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex in Clemson, South Carolina.
Rosealee Cooper took home first place in the finals of the women's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.07, while on the men's side, Cameron Crump claimed first place in the long jump with a mark 7.84m (25-08.75).
In the Heptathlon, Peyton Bair (3,078 points) closed out the first day of action in first place after claiming the top spots in three of the first four events, including the 60m dash, high jump and shot put. His teammate, Lewis Barber (2,670 points), finished day one of competition in third place. The heptathlon concludes on Saturday with the final three events (60m Hurdles, 1000m Run, Pole Vault).
A number of personal-best marks were recorded on day one of action in Clemson, including PR's for Kamaya Dubose-Epps in the women's 60m dash (7.42) and Navasky Anderson in the men's mile (4:05.63).
Daniel Pepper shattered his previous best with a personal-record mark of 18.68m (61-03.50) in the men's weight throw, while Jordan Barrow also set a new personal-best mark in the men's long jump with a leap of 6.90m (22-07.75).
MSU returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 28) for day two of the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational.
