Classes Begin For 15 New Bulldogs

STARKVILLE – The spring semester is underway at Mississippi State and 15 newcomers to the MSU football program are on campus and have enrolled in classes. The new Bulldogs will all be eligible to participate in spring practice for head coach Zach Arnett's squad.
The group of enrollees includes:
Brown puts on the Maroon and White following a strong career at Blackman High School in Tennessee. As a senior, Brown had 74 catches for 1,229 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is rated as his home state's 14th-best prospect.
Crimmins is ranked as the No. 7 punter nationally. He is the third-ranked punter out of ProKick Australia.
Davis is in Starkville on the heels of a tremendous season at Katy High School in Texas. He earned First Team All-State honors as he racked up 2,570 rushing yards and averaged 10.7 yards per carry.
Ellis – out of Laurel, Mississippi – is rated as the No. 14 prospect from the Magnolia State. The offensive lineman was a member of the Clarion Ledger's 2022 Dandy Dozen.
Evans was a part of a Chaminade Madonna College Prep team last season that was ranked No. 10 nationally by MaxPreps. The defensive back broke up six passes as a key member of the team's defense.
Parson comes to State as the country's No. 30 quarterback prospect nationally per 247Sports. He has a four-star composite rating and was a Region MVP in the state of Tennessee last season at Ravenwood High School.
Pittman is the top-ranked junior college running back in the 2023 class. He averaged 97.9 rushing yards a game for Hinds Community College last season.
After spending his freshman year at Miami (Fla.), Rogers returns to his home state to play in the secondary for the Bulldogs. Out of high school before signing with the Hurricanes, Rogers was rated as a consensus four-star prospect by all major scouting services.
Smith was Mississippi's Class 4A Mr. Football in 2022. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and is the No. 5 prospect in the state.
Tillman racked up 57 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss as a senior at Florence (Miss.) High School in 2022. The three-star linebacker earned the right to play in this past season's Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game.
Whittemore is a four-star receiver from the Sunshine State. He is the 37th-ranked prospect from Florida and the state's No. 12 athlete in this year's class.
Albert played at Kentucky last season. The Fairfield, Alabama, native was a four-star recruit out of high school and was rated as highly as the No. 20 athlete in the nation.
Barr-Mira has been UCLA's primary kicker the last three years. Last season, he made 15 of his 21 field goal attempts, including a season-long 49-yarder.
Keys spent the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons at Indiana. He appeared in nine games with two starts this past season. He was the state of Mississippi's No. 15 prospect three years ago as part of the recruiting class of 2020.
