Biletnikoff Award Watch List Features MSU’s Evans
August 19, 2026 | Football
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State wide receiver Anthony Evans III has been named to the 2026 Preseason Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Wednesday.
The prestigious award is presented annually to the outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. Inclusion on the preseason watch list is based on actual, not potential, performance, and candidates are frequently added as their season performances dictate.
Evans, a key playmaker for the Bulldogs, enters the 2026 season looking to build on his established career as an explosive threat in the Mississippi State offensive attack. A versatile receiver, he recorded team-best totals of 67 receptions for 831 yards and four touchdowns last season, all of which were career highs.
The Biletnikoff Award recipient is chosen by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 625 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, and former receivers. The award is a single-season honor, not a career award.
The semifinalists, three finalists, and the ultimate award recipient will be determined through a series of voting periods throughout the season, with the winner scheduled to be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 11, 2026.
