- And it's an LSU touchdown. Seven yard rush, the PAT is good and LSU leads Mississippi State 24-16 with 6:53 left to play.
- Tigers convert on a 27-yard pass. LSU down to the 7-yard line.
- LSU has moved down the field and ate some clock. Tigers are at the MSU 34-yard line with 7:34 left. A 4th-and-3 is coming up though and State calls a timeout. Still 17-16 LSU in front as the Dawgs try to get the ball back.

- END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: Mississippi State 16, LSU 10 - TIgers are at the 10-yard line when play resumes.
- Bulldogs force a punt, but it's muffed and LSU recovers inside the State 10.
- Now it's State's turn to fail to convert on a 4th down. LSU with the ball right back and Tigers are now across midfield.
- LSU tries to answer and drives near midfield, but a HUGE Nathaniel Watson sack, followed by a stand as LSU goes for it on 4th down and the Dawgs have the football on their own 49. Still 16-10 MSU with under four minutes left in the third.
- A FIELD GOAL for the Dawgs! Ben Raybon nails a 45-yarder and Mississippi State now leads LSU 16-10 with 6:31 left in the third quarter.

- Arnett and the boys do it again. State forces ANOTHER LSU punt. And it's another outstanding return by Zavion Thomas, this one 26 yards to the LSU 48. 3:08 left til the half as the Bulldogs try to add on to a 6-0 lead.
That's twice tonight that @ftfzayy_ has broken career-long punt returns, both for 20-plus yards.

First, it was 22 yards, then he went for 26. He's averaging 19.3 yards per return this season.#HailState
- LSU holding its own defensively as well. State again has to punt. George Georgopoulos with a good one. LSU with a fair catch at its own 11. 6:01 left til halftime and State still leads LSU 6-0.
- Zach Arnett and company getting the job done here in the first half. Here's how the five LSU drives have ended so far:
Punt
Punt
Punt
Fumble
Punt
Tigers have just 57 yards of offense and only 2 first downs.
- It's another 3-and-out forced by Zach Arnett's defense. LSU punts it right back to MSU. Dawgs take over on their own 41.
- MSU can't do much with the football Dawgs forced to punt and Archer Trafford delivers with a great 48-yard punt with no LSU return. Tigers now have the football at their own 3-yard line. MSU still leads 6-0 with 11:37 left in the second quarter.
- Just when it looked like momentum might be slipping away from State, THE DAWGS GET THE BALL RIGHT BACK! It's an LSU fumble recovered by Tyrus Wheat! State takes over at its own 29.
- Dawgs go for it on 4th and 1 and don't convert so LSU takes over deep in State territory - at the MSU 29.
- END OF THE FIRST QUARTER: Mississippi State 6, LSU 0 - Bulldogs have a 4th-and-1 from their own 29 when we start the second quarter.
