BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – It's "survive and advance" mode for the 22 Mississippi State Bulldogs who will be competing at this week's NCAA East Preliminaries, held at Indiana University's Haugh Track & Field Complex.
Â
The four-day meet will begin on Wednesday, May 25, and will run until Saturday, May 28. First rounds of the men's track events will take place on Wednesday, followed by the women on Thursday.
Â
The men who advance will then compete in the quarterfinals on Friday, followed by the women on Saturday. The men's field events will be spread out between Wednesday and Friday, with the women going Thursday/Saturday. Relay events will only take place the last two days of the meet.
Â
At the end of the weekend, athletes with the top-six times/marks in each event, and the best six relay teams, will all qualify and have their tickets punched for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where they will meet the top six from the West Preliminaries.
