Bulldogs Play Host To Arkansas In SEC Matchup

STARKVILLE -Ā MSU's women's tennis team gears up to host SEC foe Arkansas on Friday at 4 p.m. CT.Ā

No. 63Ā Mississippi State (10-11, 1-8 SEC) fell by a 2-5 mark to then No. 51 Ole Miss on the road.
Ā
Arkansas' 35th-ranked squad (12-7, 5-4 SEC) comes in having dropped their past two home decisions to then No. 29 Tennessee and then No. 10 Georgia.

The Bulldogs have won five of their past seven meetings against the Razorbacks dating back to the 2015 season.Ā

When MSU wins the doubles point they are 8-2, including an astounding 7-0 mark at home.

In singles play, Marta Falceto has won her past five matches, four of which have been SEC wins. Falceto's SEC wins are the most on the team.

Similarly, reigning ITA Southern Region Rookie of the Year Chloé Cirotte has won four of her five decisions with three of them being against SEC opponents. Cirotte has also been dominating the No. 3 spot of the singles lineup with an 8-2 record. Her eight wins in the No. 3 spot are the most of any player at any spot this spring.

No. 80 Emmanouela Antonaki earned her team-leading fifth ranked win of the season with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win over No. 69 Sabina Machalova of Ole Miss.

In doubles play, the pairing of Emmanouela Antonaki and Marta Falceto have been heating up as of late with three wins in their past four decisions. This includes a 6-1 win over Florida's 34th-ranked duo of Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spee.

Senior Magda Adaloglou has a chance to shake up the record books this weekend. She needs two wins in singles or doubles to tie former teammate and fellow Greek Anastasia Rentouli (2016-19) for fourth in combined career wins with 150.
