Lopez Ramirez Adds Seventh Top-Five Finish as State Wraps SEC Championship

HOOVER, Ala.– The Mississippi State women's golf team wrapped up the SEC Championship on Friday. The Bulldogs missed the cut as they finished tied for 11th shooting 895 (31-over) over three rounds of play.
The Bulldogs were led by another top-five performance from Julia Lopez Ramirez. Lopez Ramirez added an even-par third round to remain 5-under (215) for the event to finish fifth. Lopez Ramirez rolled in the third-most birdies with 12 throughout the event. Lopez Ramirez now has seven top-five finishes in 10 career events.
Blair Stockett added her eleventh top-20 performance to her career finishing tied for 18th. Stockett sunk the third most pars in the event with 40 to tally a 4-over (220) three-day total.
Ashley Gilliam finished tied for 36th after a 4-over (76) third round. Gilliam tallied ten pars in the final round to finish 9-over (225) for the event.
Hannah Levi and Abbey Daniel rounded out the scoring for State. Levi finished tied for 62nd with a final score of 20-over (236) while Daniel finished 66th with a score of 22-over (238).
The Bulldogs will now wait for their NCAA Regional placement. The NCAA Regionals will take place May 9th-11th.
