STARKVILLE – Mississippi State Baseball (18-15) will welcome the UAB Blazers (21-10) to town for a midweek matchup at 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 12, at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville.

Crawfish Boil – Fans in attendance can enjoy over 500 pounds of crawfish while the Diamond Dawgs face off against UAB on Tuesday night at The Dude. Crawfish stations will be located in right field and will be available starting at 5 p.m. while supplies last.

DAWG BITES

Mississippi State enters the week with a 18-15 overall record, including a 5-0 record this season in midweek games at Dudy Noble Field.

Freshman LHP Pico Kohn will make his second start of the season on the mound for State. Kohn has a 3.10 ERA in 10 appearances this season, while he has struck out 22 and held opponents to a .219 average at the dish. UAB will start RHP Leo Harris, who has made one start in six appearances with a 4.76 ERA in 11.1 innings.

Offensively, the Dawgs are hitting .270 as a team with 58 home runs, 51 doubles and 244 runs scored. MSU is out-scoring opponents 244-180 through 33 games. MSU ranks eighth in the country and third in the SEC in home runs.

State second baseman RJ Yeager leads the team with a .317 average on the season. Yeager is tied for the team-lead with nine home runs and has recorded five doubles, 20 runs scored and 25 RBIs in 32 games.
