Bulldogs Prepare for SEC Indoor Championships
February 24, 2022 | Track & Field
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Mississippi State track and field program enters the postseason with seven Bulldogs in possession of top-20 times/marks in the country. The SEC Championships will take place Friday and Saturday at host school Texas A&M.
Â
Mississippi State looks to carry the success it found in the regular season, over into the postseason. Up first for the Bulldogs is the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships – the toughest meet yet for the Maroon and White.
Â
A total of 18 Southeastern Conference men's and women's track and field programs are ranked in the top-25.
"We're in really good shape. We've had a lot of people reach PR's already this season; we have to carry that energy, knowledge and experience that we've gained so far and bring it with us this weekend. Every time we go into a championship setting, it's all about scoring points at the meet. If we go into this weekend relaxed and having fun, then we're going to have a successful weekend."
