The 2022 season begins with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Friday, Feb. 18 at Dudy Noble Field
STARKVILLE – No. 3 Mississippi State will turn the page this weekend as baseball returns to Dudy Noble Field on Friday when the Diamond Dawgs host No. 24 Long Beach State in a three-game series in Starkville. First pitch on both Friday and Saturday is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT, while the series finale is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Dirtbags played just 43 games last season due to COVID-restrictions. It consisted of four-game series against Big West teams and one three-game non-conference series at the University of Pacific. Earlier this week, the Dirtbags were tabbed as the preseason favorites to win the Big West Conference with Long Beach State receiving seven (7) first-place votes and 97 total points.
