Two Meets, One Weekend for the Bulldogs

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi State track and field program will be splitting up this weekend, traveling to both Clemson, S.C., for the Tiger Paw Invite, as well as Nashville, Tenn., for the Music City Challenge.

The Bulldogs will join 30 total schools in Nashville. The meet will feature ten total Southeastern Conference schools, including MSU and host Vanderbilt; and will feature six top-25 ranked men's teams and eight top-25 women's teams.

Top-25 ranked men's teams:
                  No. 4 Georgia                       No. 6 Kentucky No. 9 Florida
No. 10 Tennessee                               No. 14 Alabama                 No. 16 Texas A&M

Top-25 women's teams:
No. 1 Florida                        No. 4 LSU                                No. 5 Kentucky No. 6 Texas A&M
No. 11 Ole Miss                  No. 18 Tennessee             No. 24 Georgia No. 25 Penn State

We have some very specific areas from a coaching staff that we're hoping to accomplish with getting certain individuals qualified for the national championship meet. One of the biggest things, though, is coming out of the weekend healthy."
