
Top Program Performances from Broughton, Cooper Secure Day One

NASHVILLE, Tenn. / CLEMSON, S.C. – Shayla Broughton and Rosealee Cooper each placed top-five all-time Mississippi State track and field indoor performances at the Music City Challenge and Tiger Paw Invite, respectively.
In South Carolina, Cooper started the day for the Bulldogs with a semifinal-qualifying run (7.48, q) in the women's 60-meter dash. The run became a new personal best, as well as the fourth best time in women's indoor history.
In Nashville, Broughton won the women's long jump by a mark of 6.35m. The mark not only became her new personal best but also became the fourth best mark for the event in women's indoor history. Teammates Asia Poe, Kennedy Jackson and Aley Woodberry each placed top ten finishes in the event as well.

- In the 400 meters, Safir Scott, Cathrina Morris and Shayla Felder all set personal bests (Tiger Paw)
- Daniel Pepper extended his personal best in the weight throw event (Music City)
- Emma Hossack and Ava Weems each improved their personal time in the women's mile (Music City)
