Stallworth Throws Discus School Record

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mississippi State track and field completed the SEC Outdoor Championships with freshman Jhordyn Stallworth throwing to a new discus school record on the final day.

Stallworth finished in seventh in the event with her third attempt being a mark of 51.01m. That was good enough to break the freshman record and school record in the process.

Other top-10 finishers were Navasky Anderson and Gabriel Moronta in the 800m final, and Asia Poe tying for fifth in the high jump with a 1.80m jump, a new personal best for her.

In the end, the Arkansas Razorbacks won on both the men's and women's side for the Championship. The Bulldog men came in 11th overall with 29 points while the women finished in 13th with 11.5 points.Â
