Stallworth Throws Discus School Record

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mississippi State track and field completed the SEC Outdoor Championships with freshman Jhordyn Stallworth throwing to a new discus school record on the final day.

Stallworth finished in seventh in the event with her third attempt being a mark of 51.01m. That was good enough to break the freshman record and school record in the process.

Other top-10 finishers were Navasky Anderson and Gabriel Moronta in the 800m final, and Asia Poe tying for fifth in the high jump with a 1.80m jump, a new personal best for her.

In the end, the Arkansas Razorbacks won on both the men's and women's side for the Championship. The Bulldog men came in 11^th overall with 29 points while the women finished in 13^th with 11.5 points.
