Gilliam Under Par First Round at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. – After the first round of play, Mississippi State women's golf finished the day in 11th place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Friday. The Bulldogs shot 10-over for a team score of 298.
Ashley Gilliam is tied for 12th after rolling in three birdies to post a 1-under 71 first round score. It marked her 19th round of par or better for her career, which moves her into seventh place in program history.
Tied for 39th place, graduate Clara Moyano shot 3-over par 73 for the day. Senior Blair Stockett and sophomore Abbey Daniel finished the day tied for 43rd place with
4-over par 76, while redshirt junior Hannah Levi is tied for 66th.
The Bulldogs are set to compete in the second round of event on Saturday. State will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Fans can follow along with the live scoring at GolfStat.com.
