Daniel Shoots Under Par During Second Round of Gators Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Mississippi State women's golf team improved its score in the second round of play at the Gators Invitational with a 295 behind a strong performance from sophomore Abbey Daniel.
Co-leading the Bulldogs, Daniel and senior Blair Stockett enter into the final round of the event tied for 36th place. Daniel shot a 1-under par (69) for the day after rolling in four birdies, bumping her up 31 places in the leaderboard. Stockett was 5-over on the day.
Redshirt sophomore Hannah Levi is tied for 56th place after shooting 6-over par (76), while sophomore Ashley Gilliam is tied for 59th following the second round after improving her score by seven strokes on Monday.
The Bulldogs will complete the final round of the event on Tuesday, as State will tee off at 7:45 a.m. CT. Fans can follow along with the live scoring at GolfStat.com.
