Three Bulldogs Improve Their Score in Final Round of Gators Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three Bulldogs posted their best round of the event during the final day of the Gators Invitational, as Mississippi State shot the fourth-highest team score of the day at 8-over par (288) at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Sophomore Abbey Daniel shot 1-over par (71) to tie for 23rd place of the event. Paired with her 1-under par (69) score in the second round, Daniel ended the event with a total score of 219 for her highest finish of the season.
Firing off a strong 2-under par (68) round, sophomore Ashley Gilliam was not far behind, tying for 29th. This marked Gilliam's 18th round of par or better at Mississippi State, tying her for seventh in program history.
Redshirt sophomore Hannah Levi and senior Blair Stockett each tied for 48th place to complete the event. Levi shot 3-over par (73), her lowest round of the event, after sinking two birdies on Tuesday. Freshman Jarutrawee Khotchagrai placed 74th.
Mississippi State will return to the course next Monday, March 1, traveling to Columbia, S.C., to compete in the Gamecock Intercollegiate at the Columbia Country Club.
