Cross Country Prepares for SEC Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mississippi State cross country travels to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the SEC Championship on Friday. Coverage of the SEC Cross Country Championships will be aired, nationally, on the SEC Network.
The Bulldog women will toe the line at 11 a.m. CT in the women's 6K. This marks the first time the University of Missouri has served as the host of the SEC Cross Country Championships.
All 14 member schools will field a women's team, three of which are ranked in the nation's top-15: No. 5 Alabama, No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 15 Arkansas.
In the Maroon and White's last outing, junior Sydney Steely grabbed a top-20 finish (22:13.40) at The Princeton Invite. Efforts from Tekara Aimer, Ava Weems, and Mary Beth Woodward secured the Bulldogs an 11th place finish.
Admission to the 2021 SEC Cross Championships is free and open to the public.
