Steely Runs To Top-20 Finish At Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sydney Steely paced Mississippi State with a top-20 finish at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.
Mississippi State finished 11th as a team, and host Princeton won the event.
Steely ran the 6.17K course in 22:13.4. She was followed by freshman Tekara Aimer who crossed the line in 23:25.9. Ava Weems and Mary Beth Woodward finished just 1.4 seconds apart. Hayley Ogle was State's fifth runner that counted toward the team score.
Faith Duncan and Emma Hossack also ran, giving MSU four freshmen in the lineup.
The Bulldogs now turn their attention to the SEC Championship, which will be hosted by Missouri on Oct. 29 in Columbia.
