Mississippi State Men's Golfers Open U.S. Amateur Play Monday

BANDON, Ore. – Mississippi State men's golf duo Garrett Johnson and Ford Clegg will begin play at the 120th U.S. Amateur Championship Monday at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon.
Clegg and Johnson will tee off the first round at 12:29 p.m. CT and 4:42 p.m. CT, respectively. Former Bulldog Joe Deraney will also compete at the event and is scheduled for a 4:53 p.m. CT tee time.
The tournament will run August 10-16, with round of 64 match play beginning Wednesday (Aug. 12) after two rounds of stroke play. Both Clegg and Johnson qualified for the event based on their World Amateur Golf Ranking placement.
