
No. 20 MSU Men’s Tennis Welcomes Texas Tech Sunday

STARKVILLE – After a tough marathon setback to Tulane Friday night, the 20th-ranked Mississippi State men's tennis team looks to rebound in a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech.
The Bulldogs (6-3) will face the Red Raiders (3-3) at 12:00 p.m. CT Sunday at MSU's A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.

MSU In The Oracle ITA National Rankings…
The Bulldogs are currently ranked 20th nationally as a team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in this week's latest poll. In the ITA national singles rankings, two-time All-American senior Giovanni Oradini leads the Bulldogs at No. 27 in the country. Junior Florian Broska earned the highest ranking of his career in this week's poll, coming in at No. 61 in the country. After defeating the nation's No. 9 tandem on Sunday, State's top pair of Broska and Nicolas Ocana earned the country's No. 27 ranking in doubles this week as well.
Know The Foe: Texas Tech
Texas Tech will enter the weekend with a 3-3 record, coming off of a 6-1 setback to No. 9 Texas A&M in Dallas on Sunday. TTU was set to face Tulane in a neutral site affair in Starkville Saturday afternoon. Two of the Red Raiders' three losses this season have come to current Top 13 teams. Junior Ligiz Valiev leads the team, ranked No. 62 in the country. TTU's top doubles duo of Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn are ranked 60th.
MSU downed Texas Tech (4-2) in Lubbock, Texas, last February in the teams' last meeting.
