TAMPA, Fla. – Weather proved to be a tough foe Friday for the Mississippi State men's tennis team, as continuous rain in the Tampa area halted the Bulldogs' road match at USF early in singles play, and eventually canceled the match.
The 23rd-ranked Bulldogs had claimed the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead on the Bulls. After the teams had completed no more than three games in singles on any court, consistent rains began to fall and forecasts showed no signs of the weather letting up through the remainder of the day.
Next Up For MSU…
The Bulldogs stay on the road in the Sunshine State for their next matchup, traveling to Fort Myers, Fla., to meet Miami this Sunday, Feb. 2, at 9:30 a.m. CT.
