by Brandon Langlois, Associate Director/Communications
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will be well represented in Saturday's East–West Shrine Bowl and NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The following Bulldogs will play in their final collegiate games and showcase their talents once more before the 2020 NFL Draft:
Williams, an elite offensive lineman, was a standout for the Bulldogs and one of the best in the SEC during the last three seasons. He finished his career with 37 starts, including 13 at center. This past season he was a preseason All-American, candidate for the Rimington Trophy and semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year. Williams earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors three times during his career and allowed just a pair of sacks across 1,000-plus snaps in pass protection across the last three seasons. Like Stevens, Williams served as a team captain.

Rivers, who played two seasons at MSU after junior college, led the team in sacks this past season with 5.0. He started all 13 games in 2019 at defensive end. A skilled pass-rusher with great size and burst, Rivers totaled 67 tackles, including 15.0 for loss and 7.5 sacks, in 26 career games played with the Bulldogs.
