STARKVILLE - It was a windy and rainy Saturday for the Mississippi State men's tennis team. But the Bulldogs not only overcame the weather, but also a fought off Tennessee Tech and downed Samford in an indoor twinbill to begin the season undefeated.
No. 21 MSU (2-0) ousted Tennessee Tech (0-1) 4-2 and Samford (0-1) 6-0 to begin its 2020 season at State's McCarthy Gymnasium. With the match once again in his hands, Ocana pulled through once again for the clincher, as the freshman defeated SU's Timothy Dixon at No. 4 6-2, 6-1.
State would post victory in the final two affairs of the night as well.
