TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The first tournament of the fall came to an end Sunday as the Bulldogs concluded action at the Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall.

Starting the day off, the State duo of Isaac Becroft and Gregor Ramskogler paired up in the third-place match in the Crimson draw, taking on South Alabama's pair of Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol. After a hard-fought battle, the Bulldogs dropped the match 8-4, then prepared for a quick turnaround to start singles.

The true freshman Becroft proved dominance and determination in the singles consolation bracket of the Houndstooth draw. Taking on Georgia's Alex Phillips, the MSU rookie cruised to a comfortable 6-1 first set and kept things rolling by winning the second frame 6-3 to close out his first weekend in the Maroon and White on a very strong note.

In his consolation match in the Crimson draw, Ramskogler met up with UAB's Roman Postolka that proved to be a three-set affair. After dropping the first set 7-5, the Bulldog sophomore fought back to claim the second frame 6-3 and force a full deciding third. After showing sparks of fire and fight, Ramskolger ultimately dropped the final set 6-3.

State junior Stedman Strickland got a taste of this weekend's action on the final day as well. Taking the court against Oklahoma's Johen Bertsch in consolation play, Strickland dropped a 6-0, 6-3 decision.

Up Next for MSU…
The Bulldogs now prepare for action in two different events next weekend (Sept. 20-22). Some Bulldogs will compete in the Duke Bonk Invitational in Durham, North Carolina, while others will travel to the 44^th Milwaukee Tennis Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
