STARKVILLE – After sweeping its final road series of the regular season, the No. 5 Mississippi State baseball team will host its final four games in the friendly confines of Dudy Noble Field, starting with a Tuesday (May 14) contest with Louisiana Tech.

Admission to the 6:30 p.m. contest is FREE with the Salvation Army accepting monetary donations to support the Ruston, Louisiana community to aid in recovery from the recent tornados that touched down in the area. No relief items will be accepted at the gates.
Â
State enters the week with the No. 5 ranking in five of the six national polls, while owning the No. 4 ranking from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. The Diamond Dawgs are No. 3 in the RPI heading into the final week of the regular season.

Dudy Noble Field Policies
Gates open two hours before first pitch on game day and the stadium gates will close one hour after the conclusion of each game. The right field terrace is a public, grill-free, first come first served area. Should fans wish to purchase ice at Dudy Noble Field, they will be able to do so behind the center field wall in the Left Field Lounge.

Approved coolers cannot exceed the maximum size of 10" by 10" by 10" after gates open, with coolers exceeding that size prohibited. Other prohibited items include alcoholic beverages, smoking (in all areas), weapons, fireworks, electric power generators, pets, non-approved banners and signs, bicycles, any illegal substances, carts, wagons, wheeled supply carriers, personal tailgate tents (on concourse or lawn areas) and lawn chairs on sidewalks or concourse areas.

All bags are subject to search and security screening, along with items prohibited from being stored along stadium fencing and gates. MSU encourages fans to leave all unnecessary and prohibited items at home or in their vehicles to expedite security and screening procedures.

- Mississippi State and Louisiana Tech will meet for the 63rd time on Tuesday at Dudy Noble Field, with Mississippi State owning a 37-14-1 edge on the all-time ledger.
- Three games during the 1905 season kicked off the series, with State taking all three of those contests. Louisiana Tech grabbed its first win 71 years later - the next meeting - with a 2-1 win in Starkville.
- Mississippi State has the longest winning streak in the series at nine games (1981-86), while Louisiana Tech won three-straight games (1991-92) for its longest winning streak.
