STARKVILLE – Fans are invited to join the Mississippi State women's golf team and head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm at Buffalo Wild Wings in Starkville for the NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show on Wednesday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The show will air on Golf Channel and be streamed live at GolfChannel.com.
Seventy-two teams and 24 individuals will be selected to compete at one of four regional championships, each featuring 18 teams and six individuals, May 6-8. From regional competition, 24 teams and 12 individuals will advance to the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The four regional sites include Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Washington, hosted by the University of Washington; Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma, hosted by the University of Oklahoma; Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan, hosted by Michigan State University and Greater Lansing Sports Authority; and Saugahatchee Country Club in Opelika, Alabama, hosted by Auburn University.
The Bulldogs reached the SEC Championship quarterfinals for the first time in program history last Saturday and enter the selection show ranked No. 47 nationally according to Golfstat.com. State last earned an NCAA bid in 2015.
